On the second visit you choose colors and glaze your piece, or the instructor does it for you.

Time for yourself and creativity
The journey of Helge Kodu began in 2016 in Telliskivi Loomelinnak. We started with home fragrances and spa products, which over time grew into a cozy creative studio. In 2020, we moved to the main square next to LaMuu cafe. Today we offer a space to learn and create inspired by natural rhythms. Join us to shape clay, try new forms, or spend memorable time with friends.

Before you come
Important to know
Four small things that keep your workshop smooth. If anything stays unclear, just write to us.
Experience over guarantee
Ceramics is an unpredictable art form. Workshop participation is first and foremost about enjoying creation. We cannot take responsibility for items breaking during firing.
Bring your favorite drinks
Warm tea and coffee are on us! Feel free to bring your favorite wine and snacks to make the evening even cozier.
A two-step process
Completing a piece takes two visits: first for shaping and second for glazing. If you cannot attend the second time, our instructor can glaze it for you (+20 €).
Storage and cancellation
Finished items are stored in the studio for up to 2 months. Bookings can be cancelled or modified up to 72 hours before the event. Later cancellations are subject to a 50% fee.

While my partner and I were on holiday for a few days in Tallinn, we were exploring the Telliskivi area of the city and stumbled upon this wonderful studio. After speaking to the owner Elena, she kindly told us she could fit us in for a pottery workshop the following day. Elena really made the experience extra special for us both and was very helpful at guiding and explaining the process to us, something I particularly appreciated as I'm usually the less creative one and was more hesitant at first. The class was a great price and well worth the money, and Elena also went above and beyond to ensure our final pieces were delivered to us safely. We were so happy with the end result and can't thank her enough for everything. We will definitely go back again next time we're in Estonia, and would definitely recommend it as a must-do experience for anyone visiting Tallinn!
My partner and I had a lot of fun working with clay under the guidance of Elena! I liked that we could make whatever we wanted and learn through trial and error without Elena constantly correcting our mistakes. Very fun workshop! Totally recommend!
I've been going to Helge Kodu for over a year now, and it's become one of my favorite places. Elena is incredibly helpful when needed, but also gives you the freedom to explore and create at your own pace. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in making ceramics! The studio shop is also worth a visit: it's filled with beautiful ceramics, thoughtfully curated reclaimed clothing, unique jewellery, and natural beauty products.
